Hey there, thanks for taking the time to learn about the salon and our stylists!
Ron Carlos Salon
I opened Ron Carlos Salon in 2012, just one month after having my third child. The timing may have been crazy, but I saw an amazing opportunity to pursue my dream of owning a salon and I knew I had to follow my passion.
Although it was a big challenge and at times a little stressful (Well…sometimes a lot stressful!), everything seemed to fall right into place, and it’s been an amazing journey so far.
It’s my goal to make RCS a place where clients can depend on getting the best service from an experienced group of stylists who love what they do. You will find me behind the chair and working alongside my team to give our guests the exceptional experience they expect.
Why I Love Owning a Salon
Shortly after opening RCS, someone told me I have a natural gift for making people feel at ease. I want everyone to feel like they’re talking to a trusted friend when they sit in my chair, and I believe that’s why most of my clients have been with me since the beginning.
I love getting to know everyone who walks through our doors, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share in their joys, big life moments, and sometimes sorrows. I always look forward to the deep conversations that come from spending time together, and I love making people laugh when they see how silly we can be in the salon.
Nothing feels better than making someone feel happy, confident, and beautiful. I consider this the most rewarding career and I am grateful that I have an amazing team who feels the same way.
What are my favorite things to do as a stylist? I've been called the “Bob Queen”, I'm a lover of anything involving formal/wedding hair, and I have a new-found passion for extensions, which led me to become SKW certified. I also adore redheads!
A Little About Me
I moved to the Triangle when I was young and consider myself a native of the Raleigh area. I always knew I had a natural talent when it came to styling. In my younger days, I was known for cutting the hair on more than one of my Barbies! As I got older, you could always find me working on my friends’ hair.
Shortly after graduating from high school, I started my journey as a stylist. As a young mother, I liked the idea of a career path that gave me a good work/life balance, allowing me to achieve my professional goals while still having time to raise my daughter.
I am a proud mom of three children. Alana, Jayden, and Sawyer keep me very busy when I'm not in the salon. On any given Saturday, you’ll find me on a soccer field with my boys. And that precious girl I mentioned above … well, she is now 18 and off to college!
When I’m not with my kids or at the salon, I consider myself a homebody. However, we recently purchased a camper, so I’m looking forward to starting some new adventures in the future!
